Office Supply Weapon Fail

Since my bike got jacked, I've been walking everywhere. I really need to get a skateboard and I'll def get one at skates on haight when i get back to the city. For now though, the feet thing with the slow moving and leaving early to get somewhere. It has been kind of nice. It's 15 mins with my ipod everyday and i can listen to new music. I also notice a lot more when i take the time to. My plant physiology lab is getting me to notice a lot more floral features my environment has to offer, and that's very nice.

I pass the lagoon alot and, it being summer, it's covered with algae and smells gross and it's generally bustling all the time. Many times when I go down the stairs at the lagoon, I see two huge white swans with long, graceful necks (those necks can really turn and go anywhere. i wish i had a ridiculously long neck to groom my backside). They do everything together. They eat, the swim, they chill, they sleep, they try to fly (they're really heavy and it takes them a while to get off the ground) together all the time. While they are a daily feature of my walks to class and work, I don't get to interact with them much. I dont even know their names. So I made one up. I call them the Swedes, a la Superjail. Yes, I imagine them to be hipsters, what with their clear disdain for any other popular lagoon trends. And then there's the laugh. Oh the laugh.

Hungry.. I couldn't quite make this today because the pencil was too big.

Oh To Be Good Instead Of Different

I finally have money and I want to spend it on toys!

Yeayea! Top of the line. I don't think the remote control would add any fun or convenience, but all the reviews say that that opinion changes very quickly. It would be nice to have a vape at my house because I rarely smoke outside of it. It's an overall cutback from what I was doing last year, so that's nice, and it would be even cooler if i could cut out the "burning plant matter in my lungs" deal, too. But in the end, it's just a really cool toy.

I've been playing more guitar recently (yay!) and I want guitar sounds. I think I'm at a point where I have to start learning scales and getting some hxc practice in, but maybe that will be more fun if I have toys to play with along the way.

A place to sit!

Wow we need a couch for my living room. We have a shitty love seat that we found outside, but we need a damn couch. I want to sit dowwwwwwwn.

I'm sorry it's such a materialistic post, but I don't really feel like posting what's really on my mind. I never do.

OH! And if survive summer school, I'll have more time to finish my book. Michael Pollan's "An Omnivore's Dilemma". It's about what goes into the food you eat, or rather, why we find ourselves not knowing what our food is anymore. It has become much too difficult to look at a box of anything and understand what it actually contains, a dramatic shift from a food culture where not only was it easy to interpret what one is eating, but easy to understand which foods were healthy and appropriate.

And here's a cute kitty who likes to dive into boxes.
